Department of Civil Engineering was established in year 2011 in S. D. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY.Its courses include all important subjects of civil engineering with more emphasis on the analysis and design of various types of real-life problems faced by civil engineers. In last 11 years department has organized seminar on “Environment Aspects of Engineering Practices in the month of April 2011 and national conference on “Application of Remote Sensing & GIS in Resource Management”. The department has conducted number of training programs to train field engineers of PWD and Jal Nigam. Presently department has 3 sponsored projects under various schemes of AICTE and DST, New Delhi.The department has full developed fluid mechanics Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Geo-Technical Engineering Lab, Concrete Lab and Survey Lab. The dept. has also got grant to establish state of art CAD Lab with internet facilities. In a short span of 11 years of its existence the department has established its reputation in providing consultancy in the field of design of civil Engineering, structures and testing of building material, highway material, soils.

PO1 : Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to a solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2 : Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusion using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3 : Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.

PO4 : Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems:use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis, and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5 : Modern Tool Usage: create select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
